Yes, we are all artists in our very own way and every way is right, true and beautiful. He also speaks about the need for community and holding each other. This felt like a call to action to me, so I created an Open Collective page for PlanetHive.

Open Collective is a Fiscal Host for communities like ours. The platform allows us to collect and manage funds – fiat and crypto currency (ETH on trial). We can even transfer funds to other collectives.

This is an invitation to join me as a contributor! It is my intention to give all of you who are longing to transition towards following your heart a stepping stone. Most of you don’t have the opportunity to simply quit your job and step into this new way of living, playing, working from one day to another. I transitioned step by step and with this Open Collective and the Campsite I want to signal that you don’t have to walk this pathway alone. ????????????

From my transition pathway so far

I reduced my working hours to 4 days a week, yes I needed to budget tightly and let go of some of my living expenses. That was a relatively easy step for me; it then took me 3 years to step out for good, leave my NZ$100K job behind and start to truly follow my heart. I had saved some money, from which I could cover 6 months of living costs.

During the first 2 months of my new life I was so determined to find investment and funding that I couldn’t see the essence of my mission any more – it was clouded by my desperate wanting of ‘financial security’. Everything I did took me a lot of effort and I was exhausted. The people I talked to were only interested in how PlanetHive can make profit. My message that profit isn’t the North Star and instead I am aiming for managing a commons sustainably wasn’t received at all. I quickly realised these are not my people, I speak another language, so I moved on.

Is it painful to have your purpose project being rejected? Yes absolutely! So I turned inwards listening to my heart to learn what I am truly longing for and what my role(s) are instead chasing what I want. I have learned that this inner journey is essential in order for me to connect with the highest vision I am holding for my life and for PlanetHive. 

So what is my role?

I came here to remind the world that we need to restore our sacred bond with Papatūānuku Mother Earth, that our inherent connection with this beautiful planet we call home is one to be re-discovered, nurtured, loved and lived. I am learning to do this by telling the emergent story of how I bring my innermost essence ‘a deep love for all life’ to the outer world. I am here to be an inspiration for others to connect to their dreams and live their highest vision.

What are the gifts that I bring with me?

There are many gifts I am bringing to the world – unconditional love, joy, beauty, ease – to name a few, but they are all wrapped up in a gift basket of authenticity. Being true to myself with all my shadows and gifts, speaking the truth of my heart, and how I experience this life of mine comes with a transformational power for others to see that life is a beautiful gift and it is a choice for all of us how we live and honour life.

A year later, today in 2022

I have learned to live with uncertainty, I have overcome the belief system of scarcity and fear. My mindset has shifted towards abundance. Everything I experience is an inspiration. Everything belongs – the good, the bad, the ugly – and I have a choice how I want to relate to everything. It is a walk on windy, unbeaten tracks. There are no shortcuts, but many rewarding moments.

Out of that awakening emerged the true purpose for PlanetHive: The Home of Earth Influencers. 

As Earth Influencers, we create and tell the stories of those who regenerate and heal the earth and people. Weaving science, indigenous wisdom, and place-based experiences rooted in our sacred bond with Papatūānuku Mother Earth into narratives that bring our intrinsic values back to life in a right, true and beautiful way.
